For years Mike has been coming to Casa to minister to the kids and staff. In 2007 Mike was able to bring Carla, Katie and Zach to experience Casa. While on that trip God spoke to the hearts of the kids and they decided to move and serve at Casa.

The Parker’s have served in ministry for over 12 years. Mike has served as a youth pastor for the entire time of being in ministry. Mike also was a morning show host for a Christian radio station in Knoxville, Tennessee. They also had a ministry with inflatables, carnival games, and food machines and traveled all over East Tennessee doing outreach events. It is now their desire as a family to bring that ministry to Casa and work with the kids here to go into villages and share the gospel.

Mike and Carla will be serving in a youth pastor role. They will be developing new programs for the kids like Upward basketball and soccer, small group Bible studies, Boy Scouts, craft classes, and much more. Mike will also be working to build and start a radio staion on the Casa campus. A station that will reach out to villages in our area. It will contain both English and Spanish music with preaching from Mike Clark.

Finally the Parker family is growing as their 2 sons Julian and Hector will be joining them from Chichicastenango. They started their adoption almost 5 years ago and God is making away for the family to finally be complete.
