"Will you really follow me?" has been a thematic question in Jamie's life. From surrendering her life to Christ in middle school and up until her recent decision to move to Guatemala, Jamie has always been eager to hear from God. Not always liking the response, or sometimes lack of response, Jamie has learned that faithfulness and steadfastness will not fail. Jamie has served on leadership teams from her youth group years and into her young adult years, but making the decision to move to Casa on her own was a bold and new step for Jamie as she comes from a close-knit group on friends and family.
Jamie discovered Casa Aleluya through Dr. Jimmy Sites, a family friend that yearly ventured down to Guatemala to serve at Casa. Like most people that visit Casa she fell in love with the children, the staff, and all that God was doing in that space. After several years of week long trips Jamie felt a tug on her heart to explore the idea of becoming a more full time part of the Casa staff. To leave her family and friends was something Jamie never imagined she would do, especially not for such an extended period of time, but God quickly provided the support and encouragement and Jamie could no longer deny God's call on her life in this season, she moved to Casa. As Jamie wilingly serves alongside a passionate and devoted staff she is learning and growing more than she could have ever imagined. For Jamie, life is an adventure, and a life following God's calling is amazing. She can't wait to see what's next!
"You must BE THE CHANGE you wish to see in the world."
