I bought 200 soccer balls this morning before going to town with 5 more girls. First we went and had copies of all the paper work for 3rd basico students. It took over 2 hours at Office Depot to get the job done. There is so much paper work always involved in going to career.
The Arkansas group is wrapping gifts they brought for Esperanza downstairs. Jack & Carolyn had sent them a list and they filled it to overflowing.
I do not know if you believe that God still speaks to people but 2 years ago a minister dtopped his preaching to pint at my then 8 year old second son and said "You will take up the mantle of your father". This son was Chad who got about as far away from God as you could get and then broke his neck. What Jesus has done in his life over the last 15 months is truly wonderful. Today he is in Baton Rouge saying goodbye to my mother as he will be coming to Guatemala full time this January.
I am so grateful for those of you who have sent or even brought gifts for your sponsored children. But at the same time I ask that you understand we cannot give Christmas gifts early as some of you request because it is just not fair to the other children. Some folks visit and want to see the expression on the child's face and I can understand that. However, the expression on the faces of the other children are not those of joy. It is confusing to them as to why one child gets early Christmas and others do not. So please understand we will save gifts until the appropriate time. This is a small number of people but it causes big heartache.
