NOTE!!! MICHELLE HAD 3 STRONG SEIZURES TODAY. WHEN I GOT HOME WE CALLED THE NEUROLOGIST. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER!
It was a wonderful weekend but it was more gooder to return home to Guatemala today. So much happened the last 4 days.
Friday my son, Tony, met me at the airpirt and we got to Lake Chrles just in time to see the LSU-Arkansas game which lmost ruined the entire weekend. LSU won but the offense did not deserve it. Then we had the wedding rehearsal followed by a gumbo cooked by my other son, Chad. It made a crab and shrimp gumbo and also a chicken-sausage gumbo.
The stores in Lake Charles close at 7 pm which was a real downer because when I am away from Dottie it is best for me to shop at midnight until 4 am. But I tried to sleep and then left Saturday morn at 5 and looked for stores opening. The only thing was a Starbucks so I drank their pot empty.
Chad had gone to Baton Rouge and met a minister from Teddie's Chruch in Grand Bay Alabama (Friendship Baptist) and they are taking 9 bags to Guatemala for me with sponsor gifts so that is wonderful. I shopped some and then went to the wedding where Matt and Cathlynn were wed. It was so sweet. Ten years ago I married Debbie's dauther and 5 years ago I married Debbie and Saturday I married Debbie's son. So the family has my stamp upon them.
Saturday evening Chad and I dined with my two granddaughters and then again I gtried to sleep.
Tony & I left at 3:30am for Moss Point Mississippi and arrived at Orange Grove Assemblyof God an hour early. I was not prepared for the still unbelievable damage in Waveland, Bay St Louis, Long Beach and on through the coast. It is so horrible and those people have to be strong in the Lord to survive.
I prached in the tent and Brother Lavoy was so gracious. They have lost almost everything and yet they have this wonderful, victorious attitude about them. They are bringing still more bags to Guatemala for us when they come on December 19th.
Tony and I then drove to Baton Rouge to see my mother who sadly was not at home. We went on to Lafeyette where we took Becky, Tanya and Crissy along with their children to dinner. Arriving home about 7:30 I went straight to bed.
This morning Malcolm and I left Lake Charles before 4am to go to Houston. Seeing Dottie, Josue and Bubba at the airport was the greatest gift I could have received.
